The all-new 2020 Hyundai Sonata is the eighth generation. The elegant Sedan has a new look as a sophisticated four-door-coupe.

The 2020 year model Hyundai Sonata Limited is an elegant Sedan targeting a mature driver that appreciates safety features, spacious and interior comfort with a superb look. Easy to drive and very comfortable on the inside, that is the new Sonata 2020.

Sonata

The Sonata is one of Hyundai’s classic cars that everyone knows. The first generation of this midsize sedan was released in 1985 and the success and evolution of the Sonata have allowed Hyundai to bring us now in 2020, an all-new eight-generation model.

2020 Hyundai Sonata

The 2020 all-new Sonata is a complete re-design of this sedan.

This new generation is superb, bolder, more elegant, safer, smarter, with better fuel efficiency. The new Sonata can impress any driver and compete with most sedans out on the market.

Saving lives

Before I tell you more about the Sonata and about the technical aspects, pricing, interior, engine, and other information about the new Sonata. Let me tell you that this Sonata is extremely safe and it really can save lives.

Besides many good safety features, the pedestrian detection feature is amazing, it works at perfection.

I personally tested the pedestrian detection feature having a pedestrian who suddenly walked into the rear of my car as I was backing up out of a parking spot, and like magic the Sonata pushed hard the breaks for me and stopped immediately in a matter of milliseconds.

The feature that saves lives is called Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection (FCA-Ped) and it is standard on all Sonata trim levels. No matter what Sonata you choose, you can be sure that you are driving one of the safest cars in the market.

If you want to buy a car that will keep you safe from accidents and save pedestrians and passengers in your car then the Sonata will do an amazing job.

Hyundai SmartSense

Hyundai’s impressive technology includes cameras and ultrasonic sensors and radars, creating an advanced and sophisticated network around the car, ready to detect any pedestrian or car around your Sonata.

Your Personal Valet Parking Remote Smart Parking Assist

The Sonata can park itself for you.  With an easy press of a button on the Sonata’s Smart Key, the Sonata drives itself into a parking space or pulls out of the space for you. Using remote parking assist is very safe, safer than if you park yourself. The exterior of the Sonata is full of sensors and safety features to avoid any impact or accident. The Sonata is a very smart-car.

Smart Design

The all-new Sonata has a sophisticated four-door-coupe look. It is an elegant sports-coupe style with an aggressive front end and many elegant details, but more than anything as you unfold the new Sonata you understand that this is one of Hyundai’s smarter cars.

The new design of this Sonata 8th generation has made the Sonata longer, lower and wider. The new optimized measurements make the Sonata look like a four-door-coupe. The new seamless hood is very attractive and blends perfectly with the new overall design of this mid-size sedan. The fastback rear design is very modern and bolt.

Hyundai has made improvements in terms of design, safety, efficiency, and driving performance.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on all Sonata trim levels.

Hidden lighting lamps turn chrome when off and lit when on. The lights of the Sonata reflect an elegant and bold modern design. Hyundai’s new design includes hidden lights that integrate with the chrome trim for a beautiful ambiance.  Then the daytime running lights give a modern and smart look to the exterior of the new 2020 Sonata.

The high-resolution 10.25-inch touchscreen helps drivers enjoy the ride and express premium style out loud.

Then the 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster helps you have a fast and clear view of the control panel without distracting you from the road.

Hyundai First features:

Sonata’s Digital Key allows the vehicle to be unlocked, started and driven without a physical key, via a smartphone. It is a smart and safe car.

The Sonata is so smart that from your phone you can unlock the car, start the engine and more. Your phone becomes a key fob when driving the new Sonata.  But that is just part of it, as mentioned before the Sonata can also park itself.

The blind-spot view monitor is amazing, it is very clear. The cameras outside the Sonata let you watch the outside of your Sonata right on your instrument cluster, becoming even safer!

The all-new 2020 Hyundai Sonata has been awarded the 2020 Best Auto Tech Award by Kelley Blue Book

“We are honored that the all-new 2020 Sonata is the winner of Kelley Blue Book’s Best Auto Tech Award because technological innovation was a top priority for the Sonata,” said Manish Mehrotra, director, digital business planning and connected operations, Hyundai Motor America. “With a suite of safety and convenience features, including the Digital Key and Remote Smart Parking Assist, the Sonata offers drivers cutting-edge technology at class-leading value.”

I am test driving the Sonata Limited, which is the top of the line. All trim version includes amazing safety features standard like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection (FCA-Ped) and I can say that all trims are great cars.
